Claudia Gonzalez reemerges with Cava, a project that continues the evolution of Latin music in Los Angeles. Her Voice communicates a strong-willed feminine energy that is simultaneously sultry and maternal. Cava is a combination of sounds unique to a Mexican-American upbringing. The musical influences range from legendary artists such as, Celia Cruz, Chayito Valdez, Benny More to Nina Simone, John Coltrane and The Skatalites. The young up & coming musicians together create a jazzy blend of traditional son, cumbia, ska and salsa. The ensemble features Piano, electric-Keyboards, Bass, Trumpet, Drums ,Timbales and even Taiko drums!

CAVA is a new beginning for Claudia Gonzalez singer, songwriter. Her original compositions speak of the struggles of human emotions, our experiences and desires, the frustration and beauty of motherhood and life. Less than a year into the project Cava is finding new sides of her songwriting skills and introducing a new female perspective, ready tell her story as it is lived through her eyes.

DomingoSiete was created in 1999 by Gabriel Tenorio. An illegitimate musical experiment, hence the name. DomingoSiete has been acclaimed for its ability to transcend time, space, and culture in their own compositions that are based deeply in tradition but tinged with a distinct urban, Los Angeles feel.

DomingoSiete has opened for such acts as Compay Segundo of Buena Vista Social Club, Los Lobos, Ozomatli, The Slackers, and Sheryl Crow. The band has also made numerous appearances on television (pbs, nbc, kabc, LATV, Telemundo) and radio (NPR, Pacifica), as well as several films.

DomingoSiete released its second album, Quitate la Mascara, BasicLabs, in the Summer of 2005 while on tour in Germany. In less than two years, D7 has headlined five successful European tours. D7 is also gaining airplay all over Europe and California, from Russia to Connecticut, from the Swiss Alps to Palos Verdes. “Quitate la Mascara,” has just been released on Latin Garden II, Lola’s World Records, a 2 disc sampler of cutting edge Latin music around the world.

DomingoSiete recently placed two songs on the soundtrack for the film, How the Garcia Girls spent Their Summer, directed by Georgina Reidel Garcia, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2005 and a song on the new Larry Clark film, Wassup Rockers.
