Getting Crazy
The number one Latino rapper of today, Pitbull, was in New York.
We had a few seconds with him where we talked about his latest music video “Toma”.
So, let’s get drinks everybody, because Pitbull is in the house.
¿What are you doing here in New York?
We out here working, as a matter of fact we just did the “Toma” video featuring Lil’ Jon
which ya’ll gonna see the World Premiere, you know what I’m saying, World Premiere,
I’m looking at you all …So you know featuring Lil’ Jon, Lil’ Jizzle, we call him, his new name for
all my Spanish folks, Pequeño Juan, ok, so he doesn’t say “Whhhat” no more, he says “Como”, “Que”, “’Ta bien”
¿Tells us about “Toma”
“Toma” is for women or for men that like to go downtown.
You know what I’m saying, not midtown or uptown; I’m talking about Downtown. Oh yes sir!
¿What’s different in this video?
This time I really get to do what I want to cause they actually believe in me this time,
you know, we’ve broken the barriers, you know, we’ve said hey, hey, there’s Latinos here that
like to listen to music they like to listen to their own people rep them, so therefore, ya tu sabes,
Latinos con las manos para arriba, párense, prepárense.
¿What do you think when you see the people dancing to your songs, for example “Culo”?
“Culo”, featuring Lil’ Jizzle, Pequeño Juan, yeah, what happens is that women tend to shake their
“culos”, get real loose, get real nasty. I’m from Miami, and in Miami, in the clubs we don’t like to
stand against the wall or look at each other like we crazy. What we do is get on the floor and act crazy.
Give me a close up for this interview with a Pitbull flavor
There comes “Culo” and then comes “Toma”, and then after that you walk outside and all of a sudden
she starts looking a little better and you say “Dammit man”.
Being with Pitbull is contagious, his craziness, his energy and his sense of humor are off the hook.
Right now I’m feeling more Latino than ever. This guy is good, Latins we are great hands.
