What’s happening in NEW YORK

BY The Girls

WudUp Peoples we are here on Yahoo Musica The Roof to let you know what went down and what's going down where it all begins NYC!!

The “Who’s Who” in the music industry descended on New York City on September 20 to kick off the third edition of the Latin Rap Conference (LRC) at Latin Quarters. Over 100 Latino artists, premier record labels, radio stations, ASCAP and BMI, top marketing companies, DJs and Latino innovators participated in this year’s event.

The LRC had four very well done informative panels with participants such as Gustavo Lopez from Machete Records, DJ Kazzanova from LA Kalle, Ebro Darden from HOT 97; my all time Favorite Chingo Bling from Big Chile Enterprises, Uly Terrero from GoodFellas Ent, Chosen Few’s Boy Wonder and Riggs Morales from Shady, just to name a few.

The LRC was filled with tastemakers that made up most of the audience at this event. Spotted amongst the crowd, seen doing their thing was Darien Dash, Anthony Ramierz, Sean Bouldin, Malverde, Vicky Cabildo, Rob Castillo from Roc La Familia, and Johnny Marines.

The night ended up with a banging showcase of artists from Notch from Cinco Por Cinco, the most anticipated of the night Voltio, Chingo Bling who took the show by storm, TruLife the first artist to come out of Roc La Familia who started with a Crazy performance on top of the clubs bar moving his way to the stage, Noztra from Machete Records, GemStar and Mato, Lil Rob, and T-Weaponz who performed their hit “Mira Mira”. All proceeds went to the Hurricane relief Katrina. Way to go guys !!!!

Moving on to the next Ritmo Tunes/ Vardo Entertainment has signed with reggaeton’s mogul, DJ Nelson, for a Mobile Content Distribution deal that will include Flow Music’s catalog and to be distributed through Jamster!.

This is the first release of many to come after Ritmo Tunes announced its partnership with Jamster!. DJ Nelson has signed on with Ritmo Tunes, and Flow Music will be part of an integrated marketing/distribution campaign that will launch Ritmo Tunes.

And just to give you a taste of what’s coming next week…

Univision Radio’s La Kalle 105.9 FM, New York’s premier Urban Latino radio station, along with title sponsor Toyota and presenting sponsor McDonalds, announced the hottest Block Party of the year; which will be produced in conjunction with Latin Works Music Corporation. The Block Party will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 7:00 PM at Madison Square Garden and will be hosted by La Kalle’s DJ Kazzanova, one of the pioneers in Reggaeton music.

The concert will feature the finest of Reggaeton and Latin hip-hop artists including Ivy Queen, Wisin Y Yandel, Voltio, Nina Sky, Hector El Bambino, Zion and Lennox, Cuban Link, Glory and NORE, among others.

Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted on what hahapens at this kick a** party!!!! Okkkkkkkkk CCCCCCUUUUUU Byebye
